Against the Exchange Variation (French)

Offer a draw on move 3. Your opponent will feel ashamed of playing the French Exchange and start mixing things up with 4. c4.

Dr_King_Schultz iv done this in a tournament before haha I was 1800 fide and my opponent was 2100 fide, I played exd5 as whites and offered a draw on the last day and he accepted :D still I hate playing the exchange but wanted a quick draw

yes haha he did, I play the French as blacks so I know how to play the exchange as whites. Most French players have the mentality that the French exchange is an immediate draw, which it is with best play but there can still be a lot in it but overall as a French player myself in a game as soon as they touch my d5 pawn to take it a little part of me inside dies haha

I once offered a draw as black, which convinced my opponent to make the game interesting again with 4. c4.
(Or maybe he always plays this - I'll never now... ^^)
