Finished Chess Basics. What should I do now?

I got 99% (wasn't able to get 3 stars on Combat 5), but I still feel like I have no clue what I'm doing. I tried training, but I feel like I'm guessing half of the time. Training score = 944 (168 easy puzzles)
What would you recommend I focus on learning?
#1 to get 3 stars on combat 5 you need to move e5-e6, Nh4, Nf5, Nxg7, move the e6 pawn to queen promotion, then Qe6, Qxa2. Total of 8 moves.

seanysean is right though, just start playing games, you'll catch on

8 games played. 7 losses. 1 draw. I don't think just jumping in is working for me.
how long have you been playing for? what were your opponents rating and what is your own?
Set the rating range to what rating you would like to play so no real strong players will select your game.
I've been playing for 2 days. Their ratings were 1083, 1063 and 1287. Mines at 930 right now.
2 days? that's not bad going haha just remember that it does take time to get better in a practical sense but keep playing and youll get into a stride. the games you did play look over them with the computer/another person/ someone on the forums, they can give advice and help you to understand how to get better and what your flaws were.
I also agree with TimDerTurm that you should look at masters games but try to find some that are targeted towards the 1000-1200 rating with analysis. its good to see their moves and idea but its even better to understand it all. I can help if you want with looking over games. I'm no GM but I'm 2000 and love helping others improve :)
