Chess Openings

I love the Scandinavian Defense, and know it like the back of my hand, but I am honestly getting quite bored of it. Anyone have any other good openings that I can work on learning? Preferably something obscure and interesting but not bad. Thanks.
Just did some research on it, and there are certainly a lot of dubious moves involved. Being me, those are exactly the kind of moves I live for! I'll try it out. Thanks.
Hey Bishop. Also, thanks for the suggestion noob2chess! I have seen it played a few times but haven't played it myself!
I don't recommend learning Owens defence. From experience and research the general ruling on the opening is that it is only good until a 2000 level and then it very quickly becomes useless. it is too defencive and most of the ideas do not work against a competent white player :) I think finding an odd line of the Sicilian could work well as most people only have lines against the Najdof and dragon, and maybe a few more lines. A sveschnikov (bad spelling) might be a good line because most people do not properbly study it
#7 2000 OTB is 2300-2500 here. There is a lot to gain for someone who is barely 1000 OTB. Just saying players over 2000 here lose to it a lot.
I am talking about FIDE 2000 rating sorry, but this yes very well may be the case, from my experience it isn't a great line, I have studied it and havnt found any lines that work well if whites plays well (my experience) at 1000 OTB it is not a bad opening to learn, I played it myself for a while.

If learning it be aware of the trap 1 e4 b6 2 d4 Bb7 3 Bd3 f5?? 4 exf5 Bxg2 5 Qh5 g6 6 fxg6 which leads to a LOST game for blacks very quickly, I recommend watching GJ_Chess video "dirty chess tricks 1 (Owen's Defence)" it is vey imformative for whites but just don't play a premature f5 and you will be okay
You like the scandi? Then the caro-kann is for you! It's the scandi's big brother.
