Heyyyy ! almost the same! I discovered Star Wars first in toy (Lego and Hasbro) in 2014, then in musical form (I had that in music theory class, we analyzed the development of leitmotifs according to each character. Williams' music is splendid!) my generation mainly knew Rebels, 7 and Rogue one, but I can't appreciate the last two films 8 and 9.
Not my kind of movie but i respect the whole starwars thing

Little late, but I never did like the last few films. I've watched all the movies, and like the middle few the most.
May 4th is known in China as national youth day. Not children's day, but youth. It was the college and university students who started the demonstrations and strikes on May 4th 1919 in protest against the Treaty of Versailles. Fun fact: during the great war, China sent over 100,000 people to Europe to help dig trenches, rebuild roads and railways, and work as stretcher bearers. What did they get from their allies in return in return? Remember that US President Wilson before joining the war spoke so passionately about the right to self-determination? Well those allies gave Shandong province to the Japanese. The May fourth movement is remembered today as China's "wake up and smell the coffee" moment.

I agree with you on I - VI, but VII through IX were too busy destroying Luke Skywalker so that Rey could be the heroine. The script was lousy social engineering singularly concerned with proselytising “The Message” rather than tell a good story.
