My own games as dataset?

Hi all,

When using the “opening tool”, I noticed you can use different sets.
Now, would it be possible to use only my own games as an input set? That would be an awsome way to analyse the openings I have played.
Thanks,
Alex
I believe you are asking if you can use the Opening Explorer from the analysis board of your previous games, and the answer is yes. If you are on PC go to the analysis board and click on the book symbol on the lower right side of the board below the moves list, and you're good to go!
@GoldenBullet Not quite what I mean, I think. If you use the opening explorer there is an icon ( * )next to the name of the opening. If you click it, then you can select which database the opening explorer uses. Either “masters” or “Lichess”. It would be awsome If there would also be a choice “my games”

@Neverness Thanks! Great site!
you would have to fork the lichess server from github and load your games as 'the only games in the world' maybe? If setting up your own lichess is quick I think that would be then fast. Did any of you try doing this?
@MGGM1200 I would’t know how to even begin “forking the Lichess server from github”. Nor do I understand your second sentence. So, I probably didn’t try any of these...
But I still believe that a “my games” button would be a very handy tool for people trying to improve on their openings. See “openingtree.com”, wich is allready a great tool.
ah apologies, I didn't look properly and thought it was a different forum:
- I agree that a 'my games' button is a nice suggestion :)
- lichess is based on freely available software so you can also try modifying the code yourself and I thought you were thinking of doing that
sorry for the confusion
@Waltherus you can pull all your games from the lichess site in pgn format, as well as json, as I recall ... once you have them on your local platform you can put together a tool-set to look at them ...
