3 billion games of chess have been played on lichess

Totally shocking!

3,051,756,638 according to the opening database. As far as I understand, all games are not counted, only games above a certain rating level, and bullet games are not included. Arrest me if I'm wrong.

If I put everything on in my opening database, I get the number 4,975,879,312.
So we've basically played 5 billion games.
A far more accurate count though is the lichess database (I don't know the site, but some people know where to find it. Please post it here!).

4,996,127,933 standard rated games and then you also have variants (and casual games that are not there):

So we most definitely past 5 billions. I think I remember devs mentioning we did reach 5 billions in the April last year.

And I would like to arrest you anyway.

All my games account for 0.000591 % of all the games played. I demand 0.000591% equity from lichess.
