The only reason it happens is that the timer only shows 10ths of a second - in this case there was a difference of only 100ths.

It's not really 0.0 to 0.0 on time It's more like 0.04 to 0.0 clock time, you just don't see that 100th spot
The title "Time players" doesn't really fit to your question, I thought you were gonna rant about time players :P
Play 15 30, then you dont have that problem. Also it is more enjoyable to watch.
Instead of showing hundredths, the clock could just show 0.1 by default when somebody has less than 0.1 seconds but is not at zero, rather than rounding down if they have less than 0.05.
