SANSKRITI CHESS TOURNAMENT 2023 TEAM ROOM

This is the lichess online team room that all players must be a member of in order to compete in the Sanskriti 2023 Chess Tournament of December 2, 2023. The format of this tournament is a lichess.org ARENA TOURNAMENT.
PLEASE NOTE: LICHESS RUNS BEST ON A WINDOWS 10 PC RUNNING CHROME BROWSER. Lichess WILL NOT RUN ON MAC SAFARLI BROWSER!
The tournament will open for registration 30 minutes prior to the start of the event (9:30 AM EST USA time).
The tournament will start at 10:00 AM EST USA time and end at 11:30 AM EST USA time. "Late joiners" are accepted. "Late joiners" may not get paired right away but they will be included in the tournament and paired accordingly as other games end.
There will be TWO Separate Tournaments running concurrently.
Group 1: Children ages 5 through 10 years old
Group 2: Children ages 11 through 19 years old
PLEASE FOCUS ON WHICH CHESS TOURNAMENT YOU ARE CHOOSING TO JOIN!
Please Note:
A Player that qualifies for Group 1 MAY CHOOSE to play in the Group 2 tournament.
Players that are 11 years old and older ARE NOT ALLOWED to play in the Group 1 tournament.
The Lichess TD BOT uses a customized form of swiss system combined with pairing those that are actively waiting for a game. It is very likely that some players may play more rounds than others since the factor that ends the tournament is the 90-minute time limit; not the number of rounds played.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING!
(A) PLAYERS MUST BE IN THIS TEAM ROOM WHILE THE TOURNAMENT IS IN PROGRESS IN ORDER FOR THE TD BOT TO PAIR YOU.
(B) YOU MUST NOT BE DOING ANY OTHER ACTIVITY ON LICHESS (SUCH AS PUZZLES OR OTHER CHESS ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE THE TOURNAMENT) WHILE THE TOURNAMENT IS IN PROGRESS BECAUSE THE TD BOT WILL ALSO NOT PAIR YOU.
(C) STAY FOCUSED WHEN IN THE "WAITING ROOM"!!! Once you are paired you will have 20 SECONDS TO RESPOND WITH YOUR FIRST MOVE. THE TD BOT WILL FORFEIT YOU IF YOU DO NOT MAKE YOUR FIRST MOVE WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME.
