Opening Repertoire for Women

“I had predicted that would be an early question. I am paraphrasing from memory, but Ehlvest’s view is that the top women players tend to be at their best in dynamic positions, so their opening repertoires should play to that strength, and feature open positions. With Judit Polgar mentioned as a well-prepared player who did exactly that with 1.e4 as White.”

It seems ilogical at the first sight to differ men and women, but since men and women are different and think different, maybe some openings could really work better than others like the positional ones; maybe this is all bullshit too.

I teach chess for kids, the boys seem to prefer to explore the new, new defenses or openings like the french, the scandinavian, the catalan, the alekhine and others and to go to the action and prove their worth/have some fun, while girls really prefer the Ruy Lopez, they feel more confident in known positions and prefer to spend their time thinking on new plans.
Another point: it's quite common to see boys playing a lot of games per class like 3 or more, they have no difficult to reach the endgame, to try to play for a win running some risks and to resign if it's just lost, it's pretty common to see them using the Petrov, the Sicilian and other defenses that offer a open center too, but the girls rarely end the first game, they really have the ability to go deep on their plans, to try to find the best move, some trick, and they don't give up so easy, they tend to play closed games or games with lots of tension on the center.
Well, that's what I see, my students can be separated by gender when talking about openings in general; when we look at how offensive/defensive they are, I think it's mixed and the gender doesn't work.

What's a great chess opening for women?

Sicilian wing gambit... well because it has wings!
I recommend 'Santasiere's folly' for non-binary people. :)
Is it profitable to write books designed only for English speaking women?
There are far more men playing chess.

According to the website:
2700chess.com/women
The best female chess players are not from English speaking countries, so they probably prefer books in different languages.
Yes Women from non English specking countries are more numerous. But English specking men like anything with the "Name Women"
Oh what am I saying I'm from
