Game counted as a loss because of Lichess restart

Dear all,

I was playing a rapid game on Lichess, but I did not notice that the server was being restarted.
This has happened to me before, and the game has always been marked as aborted by server. This time, instead, it is counted as a forfeit for me.

Is there any Lichess rule I am missing (like rejoining after server restart or similar)?

It's unfortunate when this happens. The situation is supposed to resolve itself when the server restarts, but sometimes this doesn't happen and your machine can fail to receive your opponent's move. To safeguard against the situation, it's a good idea to get into the habit of refreshing the browser screen of your game if you notice that your opponent appears to be letting the time run out without moving, and certainly if the server has just been restarted (which I understand you didn't notice). This should update the game on your screen if your opponent has made a move which you did not receive.
