So you want no insulting, but you don't understand "all this etiquette business" despite that. Makes sense to me.

There is literally no place anywhere ever where humans interact and there aren't unwritten rules in place, even if those unwritten rules aren't universal and are arbitrarily enforced. Unwritten rules govern damn near everything about human interaction, including on the Internet.
